In 1989, at the age of 17, I quit a part-time dishwashing job in Albuquerque, New Mexico to start sweeping floors and doing all the grunt work at a local body shop.  On that day, a dream was born.  I continued to work hard to keep my bosses happy and eventually worked my way up the ladder.  Over several years, I worked at many different shops in and around Albuquerque, learning as much as I could and developing my passion for working on cars.

Never really feeling at home in the desert, I moved back to my roots in Wisconsin and entered a technical school program to further hone my skills and increase my chances of finding a job.  While in school, I was hired as a body man at an auto repair shop in Chippewa Falls and soaked up as much as I could from their seasoned technicians.  I continued to put myself in the best situations possible to learn as much as I could, with the ultimate goal of owning my own body shop.

In 2004, after meeting him at an airbrushing clinic, I left a good job at an established local shop to take a new position as a painter at Aerco Collision with the previous owner.  I continued to work hard, taking every opportunity I could to learn about the auto repair business and each position in the shop and eventually, the front office.  Over time, I was promoted to Estimator/Production Manager, and finally shop General Manager, assisting the owner with major business decisions.  When the opportunity came up to buy Aerco Collision in 2015, my wife and I jumped at it.  My dream of owning my own shop was finally fulfilled!
